SIDEWALK ASTRONOMERS on the Chandler Bikeway EVERY MONTH

The Sidewalk Astronomers are a non-profit organization dedicated to public service in astronomy and astronomical observation.

Bob, a Burbank amateur astronomer, has been toting his handmade telescopes to schools and libraries, eager to teach young people that space exploration is as easy as standing on the sidewalk and looking through a piece of polished glass. "When you see the smile on a child's face who has never seen the moon close up, it is worth it," Alborzian said. "It just brings a big smile to my face." STEP BY STEP – Building a Healthy Community

Burbank Councilwoman and former Mayor Marsha Ramos invites all Burbank residents to participate in a refreshing walk every Saturday morning on Chandler Bikeway starting at 8:00 a.m. at the corner of Keystone Street and Chandler Blvd.

Take the challenge: walking is one of the easiest and most inexpensive ways to incorporate physical activity into your life. Take steps toward a healthier Burbank!
